Head-Units – They used to just be called “the radio”
but today the component that sits in your dash is called the “head
unit”. Head units used to be just one piece too but today you are are
likely to see the main unit separated from the display part. When
checking out a new car, spend a good amount of time looking over the
display and if it has touch screen controls make sure all your basic
audio functions are easy to see and control.
Radio Features – All car radios have basic features
such as seek and scan tuning and the ability to save favorite stations
as presets. Some carmakers use traditional knobs for tuning and control
and others use buttons and switches. Make sure that the radio features
include Radio Data Service (RDS) that shows artist and song information.
Bluetooth – Bluetooth audio is another feature
that’s very popular. The technology wirelessly streams music from a
compatible device to a car with Bluetooth audio. And if you have an
Internet-connected smartphone with the feature, you can stream Internet
radio stations like Pandora. Many other devices now offer Bluetooth
audio too.
Hard Drives – A hard-disk drive (HDD) is another
music source available in some vehicles. You record music files to an
HDD, a USB drive or other sources. Many HDD systems also allow you to
create playlists repeating tracks or albums. Recent vehicles have a
time-shift feature that stores live-radio content to a hard-drive,
similar to DVRs offered by some cable and satellite TV providers.
Depending on the vehicle you can store and replay audio programs and
some cars record these programs when the car is parked. Read More :AutosModel.com

Traveling With Children
According to AAA, traveling while unprepared with proper
documentation can easily ruin your vacation and prevent you from
arriving at the anticipated location. As such, it is important that
parents and guardians realize that there are additional steps that need
to be taken when traveling with a child. Trips and destinations vary,
and as such, the documentation necessary will vary. So, take a look
below at some of the guidelines to follow through on, and cater them to
your chosen destination.
Traveling Internationally – All citizens of the United States need to have passports, and that includes people of all ages including infants. Whether you are traveling by cruise ship, air, or automobile, a passport is necessary even if you have discovered that your destination does not ask for it. Emergency reentry, whether you are traveling within North America, necessitates that a passport be provided. It is better safe than sorry.
Traveling With One Parent – A lone adult traveling with a child or minor under the age of 18 needs to have documentation in addition to a passport. In an effort to prevent cases of international child trafficking and parental abduction, proof needs to be made of the adult’s relationship to the child, and permission needs to be given on behalf of the absent parent and signed by a notary public. In this guide, we’re going to talk you through some of the basics that will help you get started on your new hobby. So, strap yourself in and prepare for a bumpy ride. Let’s get started right away.
The best vehicle for the job
Your first step is an obvious one, but it’s a point worth explaining. You will need some form of 4×4 to go off-road and stay safe. And, preferably, a 4×4 that is designed to be taken cross-country and over muddy trails and steep hills. Forget about taking your SUV – they are built for the city and won’t last you five minutes in an off-road environment. Now, it’s fair to say that off-road vehicles can be expensive, and they tend to be high on power and low on efficiency. So, we would suggest getting one to accompany your normal wheels, rather than use it for driving around all the time. Read More: AutosModel.comWednesday, 7 December 2016

Why Accidents Really Take Place
With so many different laws in place to restrict people from driving on the streets under risky conditions and with car manufacturers
installing new safety features all the time, one would expect the
number of accidents to go down over time. Surprisingly, that has not
happened. What is perhaps even more confusing is we have not yet been
able to come up with a systematic process through which this phenomenon
can be investigated. It is so important to know what factors around us
result in accidents being committed on the road. Yes, there is folk
knowledge and anecdotal evidence to explain why accidents take place.
Driving under influence, talking on the cell phone while driving, and
underage driving are all associated with car accidents. But to date,
there has not been a single database to compile all these statistics to
enable a clear picture to be presented on this matter. Read More: AutosModel.com

What is Honda’s Resale Value in India?

At the same time, the Indian consumer is aware of the need to eventually dispose of this asset while some economic value can be traded for. So one of the first things you need to consider, especially when buying a foreign car such as the Honda, is how much you will be able to sell it for once you are ready to buy another car. Motor vs Nature: Ensuring Safety Against the Elements
Ensuring visibility: windshield wipers
We often take the functionality of our windshield wipers for granted. People don’t tend to give them much thought unless they’re not working as they should! It is crucial that these work when you need them to, so be sure to test them every now and again. Even with blue skies and sunshine, take the time to make sure these guys are still able to move back and forth!Windshield wipers tend to have a lifespan of years, so they’re not at the forefront of our mind. But they’re not invincible; the rubber does gradually wear away. When the weather is wet or snowy, dirt and moisture can build up. This can shorten their lifespan. Be sure to clean them regularly!
A great way to increase the longevity of the wipers is to make their jobs easier. By adding rain repellent to your windshield, you can lessen the effect of water build-up. This will help with visibility and allow you to slow down the speed of your windshield wipers. Decreasing vigorous use will help you keep up the strength of your wipers! Read More: AutosModel.com

Get Your Car Serviced Regularly
